Kyloe House Sercure Children's Home Old Build Morpeth Northumberland February 2019

This was a strange place as there was an older building next to it which use to be a sercure children's home, then there was another build near that which was the new building, but wow what an amazing place this was to explore, so much stuff was left behind!!!

What was also strange, was that we found cupboards with airholes in them and chairs inside, was there abuse going on in this place???
Some parts of the building were trashed, as others were untouched.

Croxteth Community Comprehensive School (Liverpool, Sept, 2017)

Happened to be parked next to this making a phone call before I realised it looked abandoned...so popped in for a look. History: Closed in 2009 amid some controversy and, if I understood a passing local correctly, was also the site of a previous comprehensive school ('Croccy Comp'). Of the two existing buildings, the former sports hall is still in use a local training centre so I didn't look at that. The main school turned out to be a bit of a bust - most of it is still in quite good...

Me and 4 friends drove an hour to South Devon on what was just a photo lead I found on someone’s Facebook, and when we got there we weren’t disappointed, this stunning hotel was what we found.

Although gaining access to the actual main building itself posed multiple challenges and was hugely frustrating, after an hour of walking in circles and 2 people near enough giving up, we found a way in and managed to explore all levels of what was accessible to us.

Hudson Ward, Goole & Croysdale Mill Whitley Bridge, February 2019

Introduction:

I suppose it's been a little while since I last had the opportunity to follow a few of many leads of mine, never mind finding the time to sort the photos and information to make a report from them! Fortunately given a week away from work I had the opportunity to check out a few of the local flour mills in the east of the Aire Valley of which there are many thanks to the...

1. The History
RAF Saltby is an ex-World War II airfield in Leicestershire, located in-between Melton Mowbray and Grantham. Its eastern end pushes it across the border into Lincolnshire by a few hundred metres. It opened in 1941 as a grass strip and surrounding support buildings until a year later when it was up-graded to Class A airfield standards with three converging concrete runways. It was used by both the RAF and the US Army Air Forces with RAF Vickers Wellingtons first...

Me and my friend decided to go to this hotel we had seen driving back from Stroud on the A38 last week but as it was dark we thought we would come back another time and get better pictures in the light. The Newport Tower Hotel was closed due to a lack of guests staying there. We visited today (Monday 18th feburary 2019) and despite me having the flu and wanting to leave early we managed to get most of the building covered. I am in some of the photos so my apologies as these are the only...

So local rumour has it that there is an underground hospital under the Great Lines Heritage Park in Gillingham, Kent - I haven't managed to find anything on it but (if it's true), if anyone can share some pictures or history on the place that'd be great :D

This was the second location of an explore in the local area, including the nearby Springs Hotel - see my other thread for the photos of that.

Carmel College was a predominantly Jewish co-ed boarding school in England operating between 1948 and 1997. In 1990 and through to 1997 it topped the list of the 20 most expensive boarding schools in the country. It was closed in July 1997, mainly owing to diminishing pupil numbers and severe financial difficulties. [Wikipedia]

Explored with The Wombat, Infared, Pigdog and Binky :)

I have wanted to explore here for ages; after hearing rumors that this site was going to be converted I jumped at the chance of an explore. Was a really fun day and included wire wool spinning (see Wombat's report). Well worth getting muddy for and dusting off the wellies.

Some history borrowed from Wombat:

Built in 1897, and closed in 1966 was on the great central railway from London to Sheffield. The line was the single...

Hey there, I've recently been clearing my bookmarks and found this page bookedmarked.

A lot recently I've been watching videos of people exploring and I used to do it loads when I was 16-18. Even at 24 I'm still super active now to get back into it, though it seems there's not TOO many people around from Nottingham. Though I have a car and can travel so meh :p

Anyone from nearby and has some good places they may want to team up and check out!?

Visited Wales recently for a day exploring, after 2 successful and amazing explores there was some debate about going here as we'd heard security was tight. In the end we decided to go and were not disappointed! Access was a little tricky as it is well fenced off and then once inside the fence there is a lot of thick bush to get through. However all the thorns and low branches are DEFINITELY worth it for the view! We stayed away from the end which we had heard had offices overlooking it and...

The fine textured limestone has been quarried at Beer for around 2000 years resulting in a Labyrinth of caves and tunnels and the quarried stone has been used in such structures as Westminster Abby,Exeter Cathedral,London Bridge and many other famous buildings ..... hmmmm I thought on a Sunday late in March last year maybe worth a mooch.
I arrived at Beer caves about mid day and parked in the attraction car park and walked up to the small admissions shed.
I had a quick scan around in the...

Stretching 2997 yards under the Northamptonshire countryside, I couldn't turn down a chance to peer into the black hole before it is developed into a wind tunnel for the motor industry. Was only allowed afew metres inside due to roosting bats but had a good look and was told about their plans to create one of if not the best wind tunnel in Europe. Afterwards we took a slight detour to go and locate Catesby viaduct. Anyway.... here's some pics.

Hi all
This is my first thread, hope it’s ok.
I visited former raf Barnham in Suffolk, this is where our military stored the United Kingdom’s first free fall Atomic Bomb (blue Danube).
I managed to walk around some of the perimeter and took some photos of the watch towers. It’s really hard to imagine that such a place in a setting as buitiful, could unleash Atomic destruction.

This has been an obsession for a while now as there are a few burns brooks shucks or rills in my town. these are ordered largest to smallest these are Milltown Burn , Largantogher Brook , Millburn Mill Race , Glynn Brook , Silverhill Brook , Beaver Brook , Lost Brook and a few unnamed trickles of water.

MILLTOWN BURN
Milltown Burn is the largest river in my town. It rises 4 miles above maghera in the mountains and flows quickly down towards the town. My uncle lives right beside it at an old...

Hello,

First report time, well after seeing a recent report on here all my memories came flooding back of visiting here when I was a kid and I just had to pay it a visit.

So Mr Blobby, well he is a large pink thing with yellow spots who appeared on a TV show called Noel's house party from 1991-1999 around this time everyone got the 'Blobby hype' and in 1994/1995 they opened up three Blobby attractions in the UK, one of these being the one I visited at Cricket St Thomas which stayed...
