Visited here twice over the span of a week, once with the SO, and the second with @mookster,
@Brewtal,
@Zotez and
@obscurity.
It's a big place and I didn't realise how much I'd missed till the second visit!
History
Bulstrode house (listed grade II) lies towards the centre of the park. Rebuilt by Benjamin Ferrey 1860-2 for the twelfth Duke of Somerset, probably incorporating elements of the earlier buildings, it is a...

Before you even begin to look through this report, there is something very important that you need to keep in mind.
It seems as if the urbex scene in Surrey has completely dried up. This might be due to a number of things:
- A lack of new sites
- Shitty weather
- General cba
- Ally Law
- Surrey CC have made it far too long to search through planning applications
*Disclaimer* I am only posting this report to give you all a kick up the jacksie. Don’t be excited, it’s a bit shite...

Aaaaargh....... My first report crashed !!
Try again !!
This was my second visit to Cononley this year.... and a venture in with someone more youthful, my son.
My first visit in April was with a friend, I thought a second visit would be more "encouraging"..... Not to be...
On the walk down the incline shaft I noticed shuttering that wasn't there on my first visit... A positive sign that the mine is managed, possibly by a caving club?
We proceeded down to the upper adit level, about 100...

With Shetland being the most northerly point of the United Kingdom it made for quite a strong point for monitoring the ocean and areas between there and Norway watching for enemy ships and air craft. Id love to be able to provide you with more information on this specific location but i do believe a quick google search of...

So sort of a double post here, firstly I am hopeful of a little information on the location of a storm drain in runcorn, already explored flood brook a while back and put a report up. The location in question is double trouble... been a few reports but for the life of me I havnt a clue how to find it.
Onto the second part of my post... the challenge!
I do have the location of a closed library, over 100 years old, iron spiral staircase and mosaic patterned tiles, not actually been in myself...

Line Of Sight, Halifax.
Well what can I say about this one, we went out in search of something else and was soon distracted by manholes & the smell of fresh
Massive shouts to Stepping Lightly for hitting this up with me, I know he's not too fond of the sewers
Our journey was essentially to follow the main outfall sewer through Halifax from Dean Clough down to the treatment works, (1.89 miles of p00p to be precise)
We planned to do...

Hey guys, just discovered this today after walking near the Willington power station and wondering if it is possible to access. Will be trying over the next few days. Anyone from around the area; Nottingham, Derby, Leicester let me know and I will be willing to go exploring!

Good morning girls and guys.
My boy has a topic on WW2 bunkers for school and I was wondering if you know of any air raid shelters locally that we could go and explore for research?
We are planning on popping over to Ashley road, Cane hill/Coulsdon shelter is currently well concreted over and will take the local 'yoofs' a while to gain access again

Is the Carlshalton one accessible?

I first visited this old mine a few years ago, but having not yet worked out how to take photos in dark places my pics were crap, frankly.... More recently I’ve spent a bit of time searching for other mine entrances in various woodland across Sheffield with varied success, so I retuned for a quick revisit of this place to get some better photos. Not far into the tunnel you reach a collapsed section, so it barely constitutes an ‘explore’ (unless you have...

I realise that this has been covered on the forums before, but thought I'd post recent pics. I had to head over Stratford way to get some art framed and thought I'd pay the Airfield a visit. As you can see from these photographs the vegetation has really taken a hold of the Shackleton now, and although they make for some interesting photographs it is perhaps a little sad. But then, nothing lasts forever. I also had a snoop around the sheds behind it, and found one to contain, inexplicably...

This is my first post so bare with me please!
In all honesty don’t know a whole lot about the history of this place other than it was a company that originated in Lancashire then opened in Doncaster in 1922, it shut down in 2008.
The factory itself is abandoned however the company next door use some of the premises to store railway sleepers. There was a few workers operating forklifts while we were there but didn’t seem bothered about us...

Well couldn’t find much information on this other than it closed in the summer of 2010 having had a new school built next door to it ,
I know it has been on fire about 10 times it’s beyond repair I think I walked the whole way round to find a hole in the fence right at the bottom of the site .
It’s very unsafe now ad would not want to go back s
Thanks for taking the time to look at my pictures.

Wakefield Holding Cells (Wood Street)
The history
Wood Street is home to many historic buildings including Wakefield Town Hall, the former Wakefield Magistrates' Court and the former Police Station. When the Reverend. William Wood laid out a new street in Wakefield in about 1806 on land he owned, he created the space for the many new public buildings that would be needed as a wider range of public services were set up over...

Another Sunday, another wrecked warehouse. This time a petite one on the dock road between a diner/B&B and a vacant plot (which used to be the Trafalgar Hotel). I haven’t attempted to find the history of this place, but it was probably erected at around the same time as a larger one in the next block on Vulcan Street (ca. 1850). Like the Vulcan St. warehouse, which is a well described listed building, this one was evidently built to be fireproof, with cast iron columns, arched brick...

The Explore
Theres a few reports around of this place so I expect some will be aware of why this place gets the name of "hell house" don't know any other name for it so had to just name the report "abandoned house"
We knew what to expect before going in but nothing can really prepare you for the sights and smells inside here and hearing what happened here makes it even sadder. Not the best pics I've ever taken as it was a case of get around and take some pics quickly and get...
