N.F.I. Drain/Sewer - Visited By Ojay & Stepping Lightly.

(Apologies for the picture quality, due to bad air and poop particles causing poor visibility).

After a long day in Derbyshire in your mines, I met up with S.L. to check out some more underground stuff, this had been on my list for a while and had just never got round to it, even after visiting Pipemare recently with Thompski we simply ran out of time.

We first had a look upstream...

Hi guys,

My gf has just asked if I fancy going to Chernobyl for few days.
Ummmm Hell yes, so hoping you can help out.
I've been googling various companies that all claim to give the ultimate experience, so why do you all recommend.

The last stop of the second day on our recent trip to Ireland. We were running out of light by the time we got here, but we decided that it looked good enough for a quick run around. Later on, as dark came, Jamie_P informed me that the lights worked, and so we were able to spend another hour or so inside. It was much easier to get to and inside that I thought it would be, although we did have a run in with some headlights down the drive as we were leaving, and a long walk in the...

Have wanted to explore abandoned places for such a long time and finally decided to give it a go.
This seemed to be a perfect place to start & was a great first experience.

We learnt that the place has been closed since 2015 and are awaiting planning permission to re-open. Councillors found that issues such as noise pollution, the access road and the land being green belt were sufficient reasons to not reopen the park. The park was closed after...

Aaaaargh....... My first report crashed !!

Try again !!

This was my second visit to Cononley this year.... and a venture in with someone more youthful, my son.
My first visit in April was with a friend, I thought a second visit would be more "encouraging"..... Not to be...
On the walk down the incline shaft I noticed shuttering that wasn't there on my first visit... A positive sign that the mine is managed, possibly by a caving club?

We proceeded down to the upper adit level, about 100...

Well, after a disappointing trip to the Off Road Adventure Park in Wickford we decided to stop in here on the way home. being keen oval racing fans, we knew our way around the site pretty well before arriving so thought it would be pretty easy to access (wrong)

The last race meeting was held here on November 4th so the site hasn't been left long at all. A few of the features of the track have also been removed for use at another local track (catch fencing, pit...

A nice one this to relax on a friday evening.
History
Salem Methodist Chapel was built in 1833 in Arthog, near Barmouth in North Wales. In 1868 it was rebuilt in the Gothic style of the gable-entry type, by architect Thomas of Landore, and eventually closed in 1973.

ODEON Cinema - Northend, Portsmouth.

I'm a photography addict and am fairly new to Urban Exploration. I find it so interesting to see history of places you either visited as a child or places so old like WW2 shelters.

Me and a friend decided to visit the old Abandoned Odean Cinema in Portsmouth, our hometown. Entry to the grounds isn't particularly difficult, just a jump over a tall wall then down through lots of thorns, nettles and old barb wire...

There's 9 threads on Dobroyd mill, but nothing on the culvert which passes beneath
shame really because it's well worth the effort.

The beck exits the mill pond (Dobroyd mill), then passes through a 400yd culvert by the arch footbridge (infall)
this merges with a 2nd culvert carrying the Jackson bridge beck exiting by the road bridge (outfall)

This is a reasonably large site (43 acres) with numerous buildings (27 residential, a school building, outbuildings and Woburn House). Woburn House was once a private summer mansion to John Gilmore Dunbar, a wealthy Belfast mill owner. The 1800 Italianate, B2 listed property, remained in the family until it was sold by Arthur Pack-Beresford to the ministry of finance. As per any abandoned building there's the usual paranormal b:turd that it's hunted; the story being something about a butler...

I realise that this has been covered on the forums before, but thought I'd post recent pics. I had to head over Stratford way to get some art framed and thought I'd pay the Airfield a visit. As you can see from these photographs the vegetation has really taken a hold of the Shackleton now, and although they make for some interesting photographs it is perhaps a little sad. But then, nothing lasts forever. I also had a snoop around the sheds behind it, and found one to contain, inexplicably...

Wakefield Holding Cells (Wood Street)

The history

Wood Street is home to many historic buildings including Wakefield Town Hall, the former Wakefield Magistrates' Court and the former Police Station. When the Reverend. William Wood laid out a new street in Wakefield in about 1806 on land he owned, he created the space for the many new public buildings that would be needed as a wider range of public services were set up over...

1. The History
The former Heavy Anti-Aircraft gun site is off Keelby Road, Little London near Stallingborough. It is one of only six surviving 5.25-inch HAA gun sites known nationally. The Battery was originally built as part of the Humber estuary's coastal defence system. In February 1916 the coastal battery was equipped with two 6-inch breech-loading Mk VII guns. The guns were removed in 1919 and the site abandoned in 1926. The battery was then re-used during World War II. In...

Minimal history: Edwardian mansion, built in 1906 for sailors’ widows, empty for about 15 years, not listed.

This is one of the most obvious pieces of dereliction in Wallasey, situated on the coast road in nice grounds, with a view out over the Mersey.

There have been numerous attempts to redevelop it over the years, meanwhile the roof has gone in several places and the floors below are beginning to collapse.

This venture was actually a plan B - I had intended to look at a church just up...
